What to do with a Bot Farmer?

Hello all, not sure where i should had made this post, but i have a few questions.
I'm sure it's happening in many servers, but there's this Bot Player on Ultros that's been farming Apkallu Eggs non stop for days. You can tell it's a bot by the same route pattern it takes and single targets each mob as a Bard. I've only started farming these eggs for about a week or so, and through out the day same Bot Player farming the Eggs. I've spoken to others that have said the Bots been there for weeks. Now my question is, would i get in trouble if i file a cheating report through the game everyday that i see this person? Or if i shout to others to file a report as well? Is there a better or faster way to notify a GM of this?
Just want to know the right procedure in trying to get this Bot remove.

Report him once for cheating and move on with your life. There's no point dwelling on it.

maybe get someone else there to report him. if you send the same multiple times it will be of little value.

If you truly suspect its a bot, then yeah, report them. You wouldn't get in trouble for that. You're not harassing them in any way if they are a player and its up to SE to determine if they are or aren't cheating.

Report and watch the bot continue his farming because nobody cares.

I don't check for farming bots but you can go to almost every gathering area lv1-35 and count all the map hack, teleport hack or just normal bot gatherers.
And guess what, even if they are reported multiple times they are not deleted.
But hey, maybe legit players play this game because they want to gather the same spot 24/7 and do nothing else everytime they log on.
People also don't join a faction or a free company and they never ever would get a chocobo to speed up traveling.
Hey, why do you need a chocobo if you can teleport anywhere you want instantly?
Want all crafting classes at lv50? Np, it's done in a matter of seconds!

I know that there will always be botting in games, but the sheer ammount of obvious botting and hacking going on in FFXIV and the lack of countermeasures is depressing.

I started leveling my miner again and I swear everyone is a bot. I mean, the ones underground that teleport to mining points clearly are - I report them all. But the other people that continue the same pattern of "behavior" are likely, too. They don't teleport, but they mine, slowly rotate to face the next point, run a few yalms, jump once, then run to the next point. This continues the exact same pattern over and over and over. Turn, run, 1 jump, etc. There is a possibility it is a human but after an hour and they are still doing the exact same pattern? Hmmm. I also swear they are running slightly faster than normal, but not as fast as sprint.

This. I report the obvious ones - watch the questionable ones, and hope things get better.

I see Fate farming bots too. They work in a pack, identically dressed, near identical names, never doing anything to advance the 'turn in' Fates (but making it nearly impossible for legit players to work those Fates), never taking any action to avoid dying, etc. They have been reported many many times by whole Fate groups, but still waiting for SE to do something about it.

If it's the same person/bot that I think you're talking about most of my FC have reported it as well !

i like to find mobs that have AOE attacks, piss em off, then drag them to my favorite bots and mess with their script. havent got one killed yet, but im workin on it!

We have one on balmung, a smn with carby and his chocobo farming apkallu on the rocks. They never move, farm the same group of apkallu all day, you pull a mob before them, they still sick their pet on it. I've reported this person every day for one month straight, nothing has happened. Good luck.
