The frequency of Botany marks as levequest rewards is one half that of miner or fisher marks.

I recall that when I first went through fishing leves, I had little difficulty earning marks.

Once I had all the marks I needed, I began earning marks from Miner and botanist, two leves at a time every reset, each time choosing a camp where I could do all 4 leves. Both of my marks quantities were at approximately zero when I began. Also, whenever I can trade leves in to boost marks rewarded, I would use them exclusively on botany leves.

Today, after earning leves in the same fashion for some time, I now have over two times as many miner's marks earned. 35000 versus 15000.

Clearly the balance in marks does not exist.

I agree, it's taking me at least 3-5 times longer.
On average a lvl 20 fishing leve has 800 marks
Lv 40 fishing leve 2000 marks
these are halved for botanist 400 and maxing around 1200 for level 40
