I agree with you. I happen to like the wards. That's just my own personal opinion. I'd like them even more if they could fix the issues with them so that they could begin to expand upon the functionality of what the wards can do.I guess so. Maybe 'immersion' to them is not being drawn into the tasks of the game? But rather immersed in not paying attention to the intricacy and story of what the game and tasks offer? Maybe I'm just more observant and willing to place what some consider 'tedious' into a story, which it technically is, of the character and their tasks. I guess if I didn't think of things in this manner I could become annoyed with it too, but it seems self-defeating to view the game in this in a way that makes you not appreciate what you're doing. =(
But I think the reality is that for the majority of people who don't like the wards, it wouldn't matter if the wards didn't have the current issues they have. The wards could work 100% exactly the way SE intends them to work and people would still post about getting rid of them. They just simply don't like the wards. They want that one stop interface. Which isn't wrong, per se. It is their opinion, their like, and they are entitled to it. Just like we are entitled to ours.
Apperently a lot of people forgot dev post where they said something like "We could just add an AH, but there are a lot of problems with the flow of money not gonna resolve itself, and ah wouldn't help".

As long as I can see a price on the item, instead of trying to guess a price. I don't care if it's a Market Ward or Auction House.
Just because something works does not make it good. I could use a flesh-light however wouldn't i rather have the real thing.. yes i would.
But that wasn't his statement. He said that it didn't work, not that it wasn't good. Other than having to actually walk to the retainer what's wrong with the market wards? Come on, give me a good reason. The OP is complaining about clutter, but not once since the star search system was implemented I've had a hard time finding or getting to a retainer.
It's the "getting to a retainer" that's part of the problem! But that wasn't his statement. He said that it didn't work, not that it wasn't good. Another is completely impossible price comparison.
I agree with you in that the MW "work" for whatever that is worth however i still believe the MW is just a turd SE keeps polishing over and over again trying to convince us its some kind of new jewel and we should just learn to except it.But that wasn't his statement. If you ever played ffxi you would know how nice it was to chill in your mog house and organize the place with all the cool stuff you accumulate over the years like airship models, Christmas trees and city flags.
The market words take away all of that, replacing your "Home" with some bum you pawn your crap off, to sell and hope you set the right price, forcing us to write down prices in order to be competitive, instead of having everything conveniently shown on screen and easily assessable.
Now im sure i rambled on a bit there but how many of you Ex ffxi played miss that moogle spinning around in circles in your house?
I'm able to compare prices of items for sale just fine using the interface we have. What trouble are you having with price checking exactly?
