really nothing, but to counter auction botting is an effective method.
Btw bahyonne already said they need to fix the market first (not the market wards, the flow of money) before they could implement auction house, otherwise would be useless

which seems like one of the many excuses, like mailbox, etc. etc...
AH botting is a lot less common than you think it is. But more importantly, if your feature fails at its primary duty because you designed it to be anti bot/RMT, then it's a bad feature. Player satisfaction should ALWAYS be first, and preventing RMT and whatever else should be distant seconds.
but preventing RMT is a part of player satisfaction. You say the Market Wards fail, I honestly don't see your problem.AH botting is a lot less common than you think it is. They are not hard to use (although a better search would be nice) and yes there is a crowd problem (but that can be fixed as well) other then that the Wards provide the same thing that players need as an AH does, just in a different way.
Like I said before, do the wards need work?, yes, but do they need to be scrapped and replaced with an AH?, no.
Pretty sure nobody in their right mind would ask for RMT prevention at the cost of their own enjoyment. And I'm pretty sure the MW isn't very affective at stopping it regardless.but preventing RMT is a part of player satisfaction. You say the Market Wards fail, I honestly don't see your problem.

I understand people like the idea of setting up their own shops, but the way real Bazaars (let's admit it, they're trying for a bazaar here) worked was like a flea market. You would bring the things you had, sell them to a merchant, and then that person would turn it around and sell it for a profit. I'm not saying the wards should be like that. In FFXIV the "merchants" should be hired to sell for you, and then you give them a tax for their services. Not EVERYONE in the city has the potential to be a merchant. The cities need to have NPCs specifically designed for selling your items. Can have a few in the same zone, spread out a bit to reduce area lag which seems to be such a big problem for people right now.
Also, I agree that it doesn't matter how long it takes. What matters to me is that it's unorganized and unstable.

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.
bs to that Look to WoW or ffxi and how many "afk'ers" are around the AH. And never move. >.> Also, there is no issue, the players are not satisifed for a STUPID reason: walking. sorry SE can't fix that issue. People just need to get over it. It doesn't take long to use the MW not with the search and marking system. Stop talking like that doesn't exist.AH botting is a lot less common than you think it is. Spot on. It's my reaction to reading most of the dev posts and player suggestions.
Did you ever stop to think that most of those people might just... be AFK? Since, you know, FFXI doesn't auto-disconnect your character.bs to that Look to WoW or ffxi and how many "afk'ers" are around the AH. Or maybe they're not bots, but people with too much free time on their hands (such as actual RMT, for which MW is not a deterrent)?
Whatever, I'm done replying to you. [Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]

What part of "Remove retainer interaction and add UI based market windows" don't people understand? Little tweaks here and there don't mean shit if I have to run around and check 10 different NPCs in 10 different wards to buy 1 set of gear. What part of the current system is good? The part where you waste time or the part where you cant sell your shit?
MW has pretty much become a Frankenstein to which more patchwork is being added and suggested every day. What part of "Remove retainer interaction and add UI based market windows" don't people understand? Some people really need to look into KISS.
