Suggestions for New Jobs in any upcoming expansions.

If this is not the correct forum, apologies. This seemed to be the best spot to post.
So....I enjoy playing FFXIV: ARR very much. I used to play FFXI a long time ago too. I remember one of my favorite things about the game was the many job classes available. I wanted to type this out in hopes that some developer may glance at it. also its fun to talk about the idea that more jobs can become available like how an Arcanist has 2 options of Summoner or Scholar this way a player may choose between 2 Jobs at 30 and you aren't forced into a tank, dps, or healer roll.

DRK = Dark Knight would be awesome addition for melee DPS. I think DRG and MNK are great, but the past games that had dark knights, the abilities were very fun. Maybe this could be incorporated as job class quests for Mauraders to move up and pick warrior or dark knight.

....continued in next comments due to size.

NIN = Ninja would be super cool. I enjoyed the process of how expensive they were. it added a different element of Gameplay by having to buy numerous Ninja items in FFXI, and I think that would be an interesting addition. bare with me, but I think this would be very interesting to incorporate with Gladiators moving up. I was thinking Moderate damage with Higher DPS based off of poisons and ninjitsus that would require purchase from a vendor. possibly even ninja items that gave this job an oportunity to evasion tank much like FFXI.

GEO = Geomancer is one of the coolest ideas for a class/job I have seen in the Final Fantasy universe. If released in an expansion, it could allow Conjurers to Go DPS with Elemental Damage based off of what part of the land that they stand on (Perhaps the zone would be easier to program) examples might include Desert = Earth Damage, Forest = Water or Wind etc.

RDM = Red Mage. Coolest jobs ever. could do it all. given that there is not much of a support roll in A Realm Reborn, this could be Great example of a Thaumaturge having choice of Black mage or a Healing type with a chance to cast "Haste" maybe Haste can be more Limit Break Level 1 based or require a huge MP dump in order to not make it too over powered. or perhaps limiting it to only 1 party member may have haste at a time. If that is unrealistic towards game engine then maybe "Haste" can affect the rate in which the Limit Break fills up.

SAM = Samurai would be a TP machine like in FFXI and would probably be best suited as an option from Lancer. However given the idea of making a non DPS class maybe this could be a Parry intense tank with great magic resist(basing it off of the Blade would be extremely cool. perhaps like binding a soulstone to become a job, you could have Samurai bind a Magic Resist to their blade.

DNC = Dancer. A pugilist moves around enough in the fighting stance alone. How cool would it be to have a Healer as an option at 30 based off of Different Dance buffs. What could really make this an interesting class is if they Cast heals in a Cone or based off of other PCs looking in their direction! also to promote this different class maybe incorporate 2 or 3 more /dance emotes unlocked for getting this Job to a certain level.

PUP = Puppetmaster. This is the only thing that I could think of for Archers having a different roll than DPS. Incorporating Different Puppets for Tanking would be very different and I would be curious how they would look and how they are incorporated. if Programming would allow it, I think it would be very entertaining, if a puppetmaster could make a carved puppet to resemble party members selected. Something extremely different would be if the PUP tank didnt gain aggro, but through puppet strings actually REMOVED threat/enmity instead!!

Best thing I've seen in the forums. I would like to expand on this. I think I would know how to implement RDM into the game using the basics we've seen with the other jobs. Firstly we would need to add a new class. I would think Fencer. To make RDM actually worth something, I would say it could be a tank, so fencer would need to start out as one also. The way to make Fencer a viable tank while still keeping with a fencers role would be parrying attacks. Instead of high HP or a high defense, it would have moves that would make it parry attacks more often, "parry, parry, thrust, thrust, good!"

Anyroads, with this in mind the Fencer could become a good off tank, in later levels. When a Fencer gets to level 30 is when the job quests begin. I would think that a Red Mage would need to get Conjurer and Thaumaturge to level 15. This would hit all three points of a Red Mage swordplay, white magic and black magic. It could take specific spells from each to help with parrying and being a supporting tank. Think about it. A tank that can heal itself, can cast sleep, can regain mana, all while parrying oncoming attacks. This would also add to your comment of adding haste, instead of let haste be cast on everyone let a Red Mage cast it on itself to parry more attacks by moving faster, also give it slow to make the monsters easier to hit. There are a lot of thing that a Tanking Red Mage could have to offer.

I loved Red Mage in FFXI, however I did not like that fact that it was mainly just for support. It made it hard to get into a party and made it even hard to be the jack of all trades instead of a status Mage. If the players want a true status mage, then we could talk about adding a Green Mage or Time Mage like they have in Final Fantasy Tactics.

I don't remember where I heard it, might have been a podcast or a friend who plays, but I remember someone said that they were going to be bringing Samurai and one other class to ARR that they used to have in XI.
