    coil t5 problem

Hi, my static is attempting t5 for quite some time, but we are unable to pass through the dive fase.

We are normally dying once all 5 snakes are there or even when there's is only two, since i'm brd i don't notice tanks rotation and healer very well during the try, but our tankers seems to be taking some huge dmg for them even on il 90, do u guys have any tips, or know where we maybe be messing up, our mt is pld and off a war.

1 tank should have the baby snakes 1 tank should have asclepius...after that its just a matter of the tanks rotating cds properly and healers healing while moving well enough... sorry I can't be more helpful. (One thing we do as healers is give each tank eye for an eye too)

Well our static 1 tanks the fight the tank grabs the first 3 snakes (2 babies and boss) dps burst one dead and get the second baby snake to 10% then once the debuff Applied to boss reaches 10 Seconds left we kill second snake staggering the debuff on boss so he has 4 stacks by the end of the snakes

then once the other 2 spawn he runs and grabs them tanking all 3 (he uses hallowed ground here) while we blm lb them all and dps down the last 2 baby snakes (tank and melee moving upon death to avoid debuff) then burst boss

When baby snakes die they apply a AoE damage receive increase debuff. Hence why you'd want to kill them all in one go but not splash the debuff on the Big Snaking Tank.

We have 1 tank grab Asclepius (Big snake) and another tank grab the 2 small snakes. DPS burn the 2 small snakes down to about 70% so the LB2 will finish them. 10 seconds before the second dive bomb phase, the tank holding the 2 smaller snakes breaks off and kites the arena while the other 7 people pocket dance the dive bombs with Asclepius. This allows the kiting tank to be in position as soon as the other 2 small snakes spawn allowing a faster LB.
Defensive cool-downs should be saved for when all snakes are brought together for LB, as there is a ton of spike damage happening with debuff stacks flying around. Ideally only the tank kiting the small snakes will get the debuff. If any land on the tank holding Asclepius, you can run into problems.
This point in the fight is probably the most healer intense as well, so you might want to look at your healers as well as tanks.

I personally think the problem lies in your healers. My group employs the mt on big snake, ot on 2 small snakes. During the dive bomb phase, I only need to pop foresight and it's enough to get me through that phase. We have never died on dive bomb phase, even while practicing. Of course, when tanking all 4 small snakes, the tank would put up hallowed since the damage can be huge and sometimes unpredictable. The ot should bring the snakes as close to the big snake, leaving enough distance to prevent stacks on the mt.

If hallowed ends and the 4 small snakes aren't dead, pop rampart and sentinel.

Oops I forgot to mention we still run a 2 pld setup. It could still work with warrior, I've done it before.

First of all, WAR is the ideal MT in this fight. PLD is the ideal OT. Warrior Inner Beast provides the perfect answer to Death Sentence, especially in the last two phases. Meanwhile, Hallowed Ground is great for off tanking snakes.

Your tank death problem might happen because the MT is taking 2 or more stacks from Hygeia. If your OT is dying, he should pop all of his defensive cooldowns and then use Hallowed Ground. If your MT is dying, it could be because he is taking 2 or more stacks. Better positioning by both tanks will solve that problem.

    Two-tank method:
    • MT tanks the Big Snake (Asclepius). OT tanks the four Small Snakes (Hygeia)
    • MT pulls the big snake in the middle and gets in position. Meanwhile, OT establishes aggro on the little snakes.
    • The MT does not move the big snake but rotates himself AROUND the big snake so that he is on the opposite side of the big snake from the OT.
    • The MT needs to be maximum melee range of the big snake. As MT, I back up very slowly until I am very barely out of Weapon Skill range. Asclepius will take a very tiny step towards me. At this point, I know I'm at maximum melee range. I don't move from this position and the OT does most of the work.
    • The OT positions the small snakes near Asclepius and pops Hallowed Ground as our BLM Limit Breaks all five snakes.
    • It is the responsibility of the OT to make sure the small snakes die near the big snake, applying all four debuffs on it, without getting any debuffs on the MT. It is the responsibility of the MT to help the OT do this by positioning himself accordingly.

The MT can take 1 or 2 debuffs from the little snakes and still survive. Having 2 debuffs might require heavy use of defensive cooldowns. Ideally, you want 0 or 1 debuffs. Proper positioning (opposite side of OT and maximum melee range) ensures that.

    I hope this helps.

We have our PLD get the 4 snakes and our WAR get Asclepious. PLD uses Hallow as soon as Meteor starts, then his defensive CD's ready before it wears off. WAR stacks all his defensive buffs and uses Holmang if necesary.

It's messy, its hard on the healers, but it buys time which has been our problem with the snakes so far.
