Perilous Pumpkins daily needs to die

I hate this quest. You are truly at the whims of fate. And also FATE's. Namely that damnable Milkroot FATE that spawns.

Oh, also, everything but the condors has a ranged attack, so good luck with that. Hope you like running through high level hostile territory several times! Unless you're lucky enough to have others around you running interference (intentional or not).

The idea is sound, but the implementation is just tedious. I don't mind waiting a bit for mobs to patrol or face a certain direction, but the sheer multitude of enemies in this area, combined with the ranged nature of most of them (even those dreamtoads) makes this a really frustrating, and therefore unfun, quest.

Maybe provide the player with a small number of stinkbombs that they can use, while carrying the larger pumpkin, to throw at enemies to briefly render them unable to aggro you (and only you). Make the numbers limited, maybe three or five total, so that you still need to avoid enemies and think before you travel, but you're not left at a plant, constantly rebuffing, because of the whims of some sylphs and a condor.

I never had problems with this daily, but I can imagine what you mean. I always play during busy hours and most people are busy with said mobs. The fact that you are on a time limit also doesn't help. It's crazy that for a single player quest you might need guildies or nearby people to actually help you out.

I never had even the slightest amount of difficulty or inconvenience with this quest, in fact I find it to be one of those that require the least effort of all. I've seen several people complaining about it, but I'm absolutely clueless as to why they perceive it to be challenging or frustrating at all.

I had that happen to me once, a FATE was in the area where I needed to place to pumpkin, long story short, it was impossible to complete it with the FATE around, so I had to wait for the FATE to time out before I could attempt it again. I agree that this quest itself is quite poorly implemented and can become an annoyance when you almost reach your goal but got agro on some sylph who just need to hit you a few times and you had to restart the whole thing again. There are certain path where it's impossible to avoid the sylph and you just have to pray that you manage to outrun the sylph before you get hit too much.

This quest is really a pain in the butt. If you do it at peak times you might be lucky because the Sylphs are attacked from other players or try to chase them instead of you. If you play on peak times, you lag through the Tribe quest area which isn’t fun either. But if you dare to make this quest in the morning or late in the night, you are fresh meat to the whole bunch of Sylphs, Toads and Condors and the FATES in this area. How am I supposed to get by them without losing the pumpkin? The place where you have to deposit it is FULL of sylphs. At the place where you deposit the pumpkin, I had TREE sylphs standing there close to the destination spot.

How can they not hit you so you have to walk all the way back and try again? I am so sick of the Sylph quests. Even the sound that condors and sylphs make when they spot you got under my skin lately..I truly started hating that sound. “iiiek” “iiiek”.

To me it seems like the whole tribe quests have been designed with the goal to totally annoy the players but this does not make sense at all so I really wonder what the developer’s intention originally was.

Did they ever play the quests with all mobs hostile and enabled or did they turn them off for their tests? Did they find it challenging to walk around forever seeking items while being constantly attacked? Did they find it challenging to walk from A to B to C to D searching left and right? Did they find it challenging to wait endlessly for FATES to pop up or did they force them up with tools for their tests? Tribe quests do not give any joy but are repetitive annoying tasks to do. I want the companions from the tribes and as soon as I have them, I will never touch the quests again. Money and tomes and shards are nice but not at the price of my nerve costume and a feeling like you are at work and are forced to do things you naturally don’t want to do.

I've run in to that problem with the FATE. What I do now is look to see if the FATE is occurring. If so, I finish it, then go back and get the quest. If not, just do the quest. It's shorter than waiting around for the FATE to finish.

You have to carry something through an area. You cannot sprint. You cannot use any actions. The time limit on the carry is just lenient enough to make it between the refresh items. There are ranged enemies all over the path. They all take ten seconds off your timer every time they hit you, which will happen without fail. Some of them will randomly yank you backwards thirty feet without warning. There is no way to defend yourself whatsoever. If you run out of time, which you will because there's a gang of sylphs right at the end who'll Thunder all your time away, you have to do it all again.

Without the enemies, this would be a mild challenge. With the Thunder spamming sylphs, this quest is the video game equivalent of running naked down a narrow hallway full of people with baseball bats. It's not a challenge. It's random chance.

If you are doing these quests during peak hours, there's so many people running around doing FATEs and dailies that many of the enemies are distracted and you can carry the pumpkin to its destination easily. However, if you are forced to play off-hours, there are times where the Sylphlands are completely deserted, and you have 400 mobs between you and your destination that all used ranged attacks. To make matters worse, the drop point in the Goldleaf Dais has 3-4 sylphs sitting RIGHT on top of it. They aggro you almost instantly as you get close and you get nailed by 4+ thunders in under a second (thus dropping your package and having to start over). If there isn't anyone around to kill the mobs for you, it turns an otherwise straightforward, easy quest into a huge pain in the ass.

Tip one - target the enemy you need to pass and ensure you do not pass their line of sight - all of them aggro that way. You will not have issues, I assure you.

Tip two (if that doesn't work) - Titan-Egi

omg the 1st time I did this daily I was raging so hard. Though after I figured out a good path I don't mind it anymore. But I do understand the pain in it every now and then
