Kraven, a lot has changed since you stopped playing. You can get back to level 30 in absolutely no time. Please heed KagatoAC's advice. Save yourself some money and just start over since you're concerned about the money factor.Looks like they didn't give people free Transfers, but I'm stuck on the JP ultima server, there are hardly any players on and I'm level 30 dragoon, and hardly any of the english people are there any more. I stopped playing after the first free month cuz of log in issues, and I need to know the best NA server that has players of all levels, cuz if I'ma spend 18 bucks on a transfer (which should be free) I need to make sure its the right place.
I thought you can't transfer from different data centres anyway?
but either way I'd strongly suggest not transfering. if you honestly think 30 level are already too much of a chore then I'm not sure you will enjoy your class of choice in the long run, anyway. not forgetting to mention that you have to level up at least two more classes to lvl 26 to fully excel in your class, anyway.
dude, stop attacking people just because they tell you something you don't want to hear.
we want to HELP you, not question your playerstyle.

We're having fun on Atomos!Low server population doesn't necessarily mean we aren't having a blast!! XD

I love my server. (Odin) But then I would wouldn't I? xD

Hey Kraven!
I found this link to the server populations: http://ffxivrealm.com/threads/fascin...n-census.8611/ I am not sure how accurate or reliable but it is, but there you go.
As someone whose bounced around servers quite a bit, I think that it boils down to how much you care about size and what you're looking for when playing. Do you tend to play alone a lot and rely on Duty Finder? If so, then it won't matter too much regarding your choice because you'll be solo and PUG-ing your way through. If you're looking for a certain set of people to play with then I would suggest looking at the server forums. There, you can see what types of FC's are recruiting, and make your decision based off of that. I would also make sure to decide based on time zone. EU servers vary.
Currently, I'm on Adamantoise and it's a respectable server IMO. If you happen to come over here, I wouldn't mind helping you out. Character name is: Zendaya Firefly.
I hope this helps.
We can all understand attachment to a character, but to get to 30 levels in a short time is even easier thanks to the duty roulette. And you should really only pay to keep your character if you're reached end game content.
I would honestly suggest just trying a fresh character on a different server... You get to completely change your looks and starting class!
But as for suggesting which server? Everyone's only going to suggest the server they're currently on. You should only really take into account where your friends are.
If you have none playing? Then look into different free companies and server populations before making a judgement on where you'd like to be.
After all that, if you still want to keep your character, we can't stop you. Though none of us would suggest it.

You are allowed up to 8 total characters on 8 separate servers with the base sub price. I had wanted to move my old character as well, so I made a few characters on several worlds to test them out. As it turned out, I had to stay on my original server because I am on a legacy world (no transfers out are allowed on legacy).
However, it was a good way to try out some servers I might have wanted to transfer to, had I been allowed to do so. I found out that I really disliked some of the ones I tried (either annoying ppl or too dead), but there were a couple that I thought would work for me.
Before you pay to transfer, make sure you are happy with the world. I fully understand wanting to keep the character you are already happy with.
