Should CT have dropped lvl75 items?

I notice that CT is by far and wide the most popular instance now, in both PF and general chats. Judging by its ease of clearing, I have to wonder if the rewards are too high. If the gear was scaled down to lvl 75, (making it slightly better than Darklight), then this seems a little more appropriate.

Considering this is easier than Pharos Sirus/Copperbell in my opinion which drops 60 item.

No. This is the perfect in-between upgrade for DL and then Myth/Allagan. And with a loot-lockout it is not easy to obtain a full-set.

If it's popular, it's because it probably drops 200 philo stones and 50 myth stones, so people like to spam it for that as well.

Pretty much what he said. The fact you can only get 1 piece a week is a big enough nerf.

for ilvl 80 drops all you have to deal with in CT is "in-progress" fishers, newbs/noobs who can't co ordinate in boss fights, unstable servers, trolls and SE's legendary RNG. I think ilvl 80 is appropriate given the circumstances.

The gear may be i80, but the itemization on many pieces leaves a lot to be desired. For example, there's not a single point of accuracy on the entire Crimson (BLM/SMN) set. I think it's fine as is.

What I do not like is the moving from DL to CT equipment sets.

Take most DL body gear or pant set. They come inbuilt with headgear or boots. Now CT gear is all 1 piece by 1 piece. To replace 1 DL gear, you need 2 CT gear. Thus, lets say you got body this week. You need to wait a whole week and then next week grind like crazy for the companion gear...

Of cause I could just equip my ilvl60 gear on the companion slot, but ... that depends, DL often still are better. Thus you got a gear that is now sitting in inventory, while you wait for lock out to reset, so that next week you can grind a extremely specific gear piece.

Well, it gives an intertesting choice. This week im trying to focus on getting the legs. Should they drop i can instantly buy the feet with my myth tomes.
