Thread: Does anyone know the drop rate on the Ifrit lance?

Really I have run the damn dungeon about 20 times and it feels like every item drop but the one I want I am gets sick of running ifrit almost to the point I can watch all of my DVDs and not look at the screen while running it and I feel it it does drop THIS will be my end result!

You just have to know what "probability" means. It doesn't mean "do it 9 times, you will have it for sure". It means "on a very high number of instances, it drops 1/9". If square did provide the actual drops count and the number of times ifrit has been killed since the game has been released, it probably would be true.
It is just like any "random distribution". It's only true on HIGH numbers. 20 times doesn't mean anything; and even 100 or 1000 times isn't enough

I find these topics hilarious. people have know idea what grinding for gear actually means. I did it 20 times and didn't get my drop. Whine, Whine, Whine. They could never play WKC, or any other RPG the requires actual heavy grinding. Heck WKC had you running 1 hour long dungeons for a .5% drop chance and that was not even for the actual weapon. But parts to make it and you needed at least 3 of them.

TC why you even grinding for Ifirt's weapon? Hope it for looks, for eventual vanity. Because It not worth it, stat wise. its barely a stat upgrade over darklight or GC weapons and not worth farming for anymore. It only was in 2.0. when WP wasn't worth running or GC weapons required AK completed. Heck its barely an upgrade of the HQ version of the weapon, you need to hand in during Relic quest. Can just get that one when you get to 50, but need to get another level 50 weapon before handing it in. since uncompleted Relic is a downgrade and even that is taken away when you go to do the primal HMs.

Garuda's weapon is the 1st Primal weapon actually worth farming for now and any of the other level 50 weapons will let you farm her.

Just go for Garudas spear. Garuda isnt difficult. But do your Relic quest and kill the primals as part of that. Then the weapons they drop wont matter at all.

Lots of posts in here from today. She has a Gae Bolg already.
So either she got a relic within the past nine days since posting, or she's just after it for collection's sake. Utility's not the issue.
