Solo tank Garuda X

seen videos, and from what i can see, a bard or a strong melee takes chirada. From tanking chirada, only thing that really hurts is the downswipe thing but that gives warning with target, and if you move behind, it does way less damage.

any comments?

Its probably a doable strat since in the JPServers they do a 3 way strat, where MT pull Garuda, OT pulls Suprana and the DPS takes care of Chrirada. I dont see why we cant just replace the OT with another DPS. Although it might get tough if the spiny feather goes to the MT, unless theres a way to pull it off some one with out the use of provoke.

nope... spiney comes with a huge amount of aggro to its target. only way to pull it off is by provoking.

This is only a theory, but maybe with the extra DPS, the phases get pushed faster and thus the plume's stacks are not an issue? If that's not the case then it's all RNG (everybody's FAVORITE mechanic~!) if it's on the MT or somebody else

I "believe" the phases are timed. I cannot say for sure, its possible they are tied to when the adds die and Garuda simply phases X seconds after. I have no actual evidence to base this on other than having killed her and this is the impression I got, lol.

Pretty sure each phase has a maximum time allowed. If you don't DPS the twins fast enough they will eventually jump with Garuda and wipe you if they're still up. This is a tell-tale sign that you don't have enough DPS.

I wonder how just a War not in defiance would compare in that strat then? At least it would have provoke and huge HP.

true true....thats a great suggestion. im gonna try that....although obviously thats less dps than having a 5th dps.

In the videos I have seen, the spiny always seems to go to a healer then the MT takes it at 2 debuffs....
