I wouldnt persnoally know... but... knowing all the resource issues they have on PS3 for displaying UI elements, I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't add more options to hide even more UI.
I tried that option before 2.1 and it worked, I wouldnt know now ... Maybe it's glitched out for you or something?Yea, it seems everyone else isn't quite understanding it :P I am trying to disable my pet hotbar. There is an option right in the Character Config menu but it won't work. I'd love to be able to use them on a hotbar but I guess there's no point, it'd just be an extra hotbar on my screen on top of the pet one. Hopefully someone else has found a way =\
In the meanwhile, you could try to just move the bar out of the visible window? like hide it in a corner or something lol... :P

I have the same problem.
I created my own pet bars using the regular pet bars (as you can't reorganize the SQE bar, and they don't have a clue on how to organize things properly...); When i deselect the "use pet bar" option in the main menus, it doesn't go away, so i've had to hide it off to the side.
That's a very good solution for the moment, atleast goes around the screen obstruction. I'm pretty sure this is a glitch however possibly caused by something in 2.1 if it is in deed affecting many players. And it will get fixed, we might get a dev response since they usually reply to these types of things. The function used tow rok properly before... I'll check it when I get home.I have the same problem.

I wanted to also mention lol, is incredibly annoying how you can't set the obey option without a hostile target selected. Furthermore, how you can't actually toggle which spells you wants on auto and which don't, although that would greatly affect playability at the moment of controlling your pet, so I'll let that one slip :P
