    I went the CNJ route and haven't regretted it at all.

    If you're soloing, you can always bring out your choco companion for some extra DPS as well!

    As said already numerous times above - CNJ / WHM fares very well on solo / damage dealing not only due to the already mentioned Cleric Stance which increases your damage output and possibility of healing yourself as needed but also but having option to cast Protect on yourself as well as Stone Skin (cross class action) which decreases the damage received as well quite a lot.
