Pretty much this is what I'm reading.

You guys cry the game is SOOOO BAD yet you cry when you can't play. Or of your download is slow due to congestion. Wait till tomarrow. I stopped dowloading stuff on patch day for this reason. I never did a ffxiv the day of the patch, where as with my other games I did.

As a matter of fact, I have the CDC's list of ADHD symptoms bookmarked, learn to understand... Well, anything, really. You're not the only one on the forum with terrible grammar and spelling skills, but I understand your need to make it all about you.

The fact of the matter is that many people here have played many online games, and FFXIV is far and away the single worst patching experience many of us have ever seen.

I've not experienced an hours-long download issue since I forwarded the appropriate ports back in October, but I can say that today, Rift released a hotfix with approximately the same amount of content as this "patch" and it was downloaded and installed within two minutes.

Feel free to draw your own conclusions.

You're trying to say it varies entirely on experience, and that "Everyone always had problems with MMO patchers, this is nothing new!" And I'm saying, yes, this is something new, this is not just different experiences. Patchers, especially in recent years, are far superior to this, as myself and many others have clarified. Just because *you've* always had bad luck, doesn't mean that's par for the course, sorry. Unless there's been some recent breakthrough in astronomy that I'm unaware of, the universe has yet to revolve solely around you.

on a side note, yes the thing needs fixing, i torrented it today, didnt even try to patch it on my main character, my mule computer is at 89% after 4 hours

Just sharing my point of you since I have been in your shoes. I'm not trying to insult but there is a better way to go about it. But if there is nothing to fix, and your just unlucky.. how can they fix it? try waiting a day then if it still suck then say something.
