Stop whining.
It's easier and more efficient to just send the entire changed file back over than to only send raw data, that now has to infiltrate your PC, edit your file, save the change, and exit.

Almost no developer ninjas raw data into files to save download time. Almost all of them send a fresh copy of the entire thing over.

I just did this simple little test in one of the other threads complaining about the updater.

Searching in the FFXIV folder on all files modified on or after 6/15/2011 gives me a total filesize of 27.6 MB.

I beg to differ.

This is a masked rage at not being able to play. Chill the **** out and go sit on the porch or something for that 10 minutes.

So, for those of us who have monthly download quotas such as in Australia or Canada, we just have to accept that SE is going to waste our bandwidth?
