A person with full myth and no allagan is trash. Needs to have more than 2 pieces of allagan equipped to be good.

Actually this isn't that far from the truth, despite everyone picking on this post. Drops from T1 and T4 actually suggest that you know how to play your class. Drops from T2... well, they indicate nothing at the moment.

And yeah, the vast majority of people with Allagan weapons are more than likely quite skilled players.

Being i90 doesn't mean too much, the quality of the drops you have does though.

Turns 1 to 4 is a lot more forgiving than other fights outside of coil. Even more so than Titan HM. As there are no real one shot mechanics. Why, when I was PFing for my PLD relic I saw over and over players who joined sporting Allagan gear die over and over to the same mechanics. In fact in coil T1-4. If the rest of the party is geared, players can be carried. Remember, the first clears of coil where done in ilvl 70 gear. No or minimal myth/Allagan.

Gear augments skill and some try to use it to cover there inability to read and adapt to fights. Aka, it makes some players lazy.

Great players can adapt to the situations they find themselves in or the parties they are put in. Whether it's a fast clear to the end or the ability to assist those who are new. Which we all where once, never forget that. Personally I get greater satisfaction clearing a dungeon with new people who are learning and with some friendly advice, seeing them improve, in some cases substantially, to go on and kill the boss. Than a one shot.

Yes ilvl doesn't equal player skill and most of the party finder parties with ridicolous requirements are just made by people who want to get carried and don't even have the ilvl themselves. But thats what we get with the implementation of iLvL do I like it no. But I can live with it.

*edit* to the people who say you need allagan (dunno if sarcasm) not all of us are lucky in coil. I'm running coil for about 3 month now and didn't get 1 drop yet. I swear healing gear doesn't exist in there.

It frightens me that people who spent their time spamming Wanderers Palace only and buying Titan Win now belong to the best geared players in the game.
