This isn't true, as a scholar there's only one item besides the twintania weapon drop that's best in slot from coil, myth is superior for every slot but gloves. I don't want people to assume I don't know how to play just because I care more about actually having good stats instead of how many shiny allagan drops I've obtained.

At one point I was 1/32 on getting WHM coil items to drop. Try again.

That said it would be NICE if you actually needed to clear difficult content to get the best gear but that's not how this game works. Instead you get the most rewards from grinding the same piss-easy dungeons over and over again for months.

Just more of the toxic/elitist portion of the community. What should really matter is the quality of the person; their teamwork with others, their skill and ability, whether they are a positive or fun person to play with... and yet what it always boils down to with the superficial people is whether they are 100% Allagan, whether they have the rarest gear. The ones snarling about l33t gear are usually the most short, rude, and all around ill-tempered people I've ever seen in an MMO. I'd honestly rather play with kind people decked out in myth gear than assholes in allagan anyday.

(I am of course not saying that everyone with allagan is an ass, but you know what I mean.)
