Your reason for kicking that person from the group?

By now, most of us have probably had to use the kick feature at least once. For me, it's been exactly once.

I was in Amdapor Keep with my Paladin yesterday. Right at the start, the Bard says "Please let us finish this! I've been trying for my Relic quest and it's been nothing but fails!". I then make a comment like "Demon Wall is really the only pug breaker due to the DPS check, but we should be fine. ", and the healer says "This place is easy. Only retards fail at it".... ok, that's a bit harsh, but we move on.

Next, during the 2nd trash pull, the healer says "WTB more DPS" and then proceeds to argue with and belittle the bard who asks "What's WTB?". Calling him a noob because "WTB" has been in MMOs for ever. Ok... why is that such a huge deal?

The final straw was during one of the next trash packs, with the a summoner that casts "Void Summons" or whatever. I normally mark and stun these, but for whatever reason, I targeted something else and missed it. The healer... "STUN IT!!" and then "OMG!?!?!!!!!". he then stops healing and lets me die. "I figured if you didn't have to do your job TANK, then I could stop doing mine too".

I released, initiated the kick and waited until he was gone before moving on. Honestly, he may have wanted to be kicked to avoid the timer. That's the only thing I can think... I mean, having to kill that extra void creature was really worth letting me die? Then again, he seemed to be a douche from the beginning.


BTW, although we did wipe on Demon wall a couple times, we did finish the instance in the end.

the most recent one was a bard who would be afk after every single fight... without any warning... and i asked him right at the start of the dungeon if everything was alright right after he was afk for a while...

oh yeah.. this was on aurum vale...

I would say that was a legitimate use of the kick feature. "Harassment" is what he was doing.

The one time I kicked someone was for the same reason. He was a good player, and did his job well, but he was very rude and degrading to the newer people in my party. I swiftly kicked him

This was in Auruum Vale. The first boss (Locksmith?) the tank was harassing the newbie scholar healer because he wouldn't keep his fairy active and would yell at the dragoon for standing in the poison puddles instead of nicely asking/informing him of his error.

I was on monk and I'm sure he probably had something to say to me to, be just didn't get around to it

He dropped and we replaced, then one shot every boss and cleared with ease with our new tank. If people would just be nice, we can get stuff done.

While running Praetorium with DF roulette for tomes, we had a myth dragoon who was afk and had one of the healers on follow through several trash pulls. This was 1-2 days after the patch, so I guess he didn't realize that vote kick is a thing now. We vote kicked him and got someone else who actually helped us kill stuff once in a while. Felt good.

Once for me, on a dragoon afking CM. It felt good man.

One summoner for pulling with Titan and taking the boss to the other alliance.

Besides that, just AFK people... usually I prefer to quit instead of kicking. They can get a replacement and continue their run.

Haven't used it yet because I use my FC for mostly everything except the market boards. Now if I could only vote kick my competitors off the market boards. LoL.

Someone would have to be truly acting like an ass (griefing, long period of AFK, general douchebaggery) for me to initiate a vote kick. I haven't really ran across anyone like this yet. I've ran across people that didn't play very well, but I try to remain patient and if things look hopeless I'll usually just wait for someone else to bail on the group first.

I did a low lvl dungeon as a tank, believe it was just sastasha. The archer was new, and thats ok. I proceed to mark the mobs, before I can even do something he attacks. I quickly fall in and make sure to hold aggro. He runs ahead, comes back with more mobs chasing him; "help!". Now I tell him that I am a tank, I should take the hits. Also, please attack mobs in the order I mark em so this makes this a lot easier. The reply was: don't tell me what to do... After that He kept pulling aggro making my sastasha about as hard as a HM dungeon... Managable but still, I decide not to let it get me untill we come in the big room in the middle. He aggro's everything and makes us die... Told us he didn't get it. I tell him to wait. Sure, is the reply. I grab 1 pack of mobs, and it seems to go well, even though he spams quicknock, but eey, I am not one to tell you how to rotate your skills unless you ask for it. I ask for a quick bio, brb. Everyone agrees. When I get back 2 mins later we are dead again, seems the archer pulled again... At this point of not listening I reported him, For harrasment, since there is no option for stupidity. We quickly filled with another acher. Finished about 5/10 min later easily.

Kicked a BRD in CT who refused to stand on the button for the Atmos mini-boss. Like literally "No, you stand on it, tank doesn't NEED to be in the middle"

No one mourned his loss, and it was certainly the fastest I've ever seen someone get kicked. Didn't feel like arguing at all. Right-clicked name, vote kick, ok. 5 seconds later GONE. Replaced by a different BRD 10 seconds later, raid continued as normal.
