PVP FOMO is getting exhausting.

I loved PVP at the beginning of the change. Got to crystal season 1. Since I can't play with friends though, and the constant nerfing and buffing; I lost most of my interest. Yoshi says take breaks, but how am I supposed to do that with PVP rewards that will disappear and never return. Only playing right now to do a daily frontline. Kinda sad to pay a sub for a game that became a job.

There was a thread I recall that brought up how the mention of previous series rewards being available was 1,000 days ago
Unfortunately I don't think those rewards are coming, otherwise they would've been available by now given they have a perfectly fine trophy crystal currency they added for the reward track

If there was any patch to get these rewards to come back in, it will be 7.2

If they DO NOT come back in 7.2, we can safely assume Yoshi P was just making yet another promise he has zero intention on following through with in the near future, and he was just paying lip service to people who didn't like the idea of FoMo implementation so they would stop complaining.

The silver lining to this is, the gear set this season kind of sucks, we'll probably get a mount nobody cares about next season, so you've got a decent 6+ months to unsub and not worry about missing anything of tangible value coming down the FoMo pipeline.

...I don't think PVP-rewards alone worth your sub. So I would actually suggest to just let them go. Might sound a bit silly in the moment, but it's true. They do not worth your money, EVEN if you actually use said rewards. Because none of them are essential. Missing out on some particular glamour can be a shame, but thankfully we have a lot of pretty clothes in-game and on Mog-station anyway (...and we really need extra glamour-plates).

They did promised to bring old rewards eventually and I have no idea what's stopping them from doing so. Unless, maaaaaaaaaybe they decided eventually to put them in moogle-events. But can't re-call seeing it there either, so I'm even more lost on reasoning.

If its not on the schedule now I doubt we'll be getting it in 7.2 with how rigid and unbending 14 is with everything.

Actual horrible implementation. It would've been nice if series rewards were also account wide, but they're not. I don't care about my alts anymore. I wouldn't have minded if they let us choose series stuff to do like guild wars 2 with reward tracks, but no, they went full FOMO.

I think the only reason the FOMO still exists is because Square is afraid CC queues will dry up without the battlepass incentive. FWIW I think CC would be fine without the battlepass, but I suspect that's the reason

People would still need to get the trophy crystals to buy the old rewards.

Which is crazy because anyone with two braincells to rub together would still see the need for the trophy crystals that only come from the battlepass.

In a lot of ways, I genuinely question the intelligence of the development team when it comes to issues such as this. It's so easy to have the rewards lag behind in a way to not make the battlepass seem useless. Also, having the intelligence to add new rewards when necessary to necessitate more engagement.

But to be fair, they do nothing, and we still reward them financially, so who's really the idiot? I just wish they had better foresight and wisdom to fix these issues as they crop up.

This is it, really. Same reason they're terrified of increasing the tome cap in odd patches or unlocking Savage earlier. Once they do, it's not something they can backpedal on without massive backlash.
