Just as a note to the OP: If you have all your leves saved up you can easily get from 1-50 in about 12 hours. Just make sure you save your seals for constant survival 2 manuals.

From the reddit's link OP provided
You didn't discover the hot water tellling us leves are fast. Except you actually need leves unlocked and to fish that HQ fishBuy Wildfowl Fly while in Forgotten Springs.
From this point on, I used Leves as part of my Experience Leveling. The Recommended Locations are where you can Farm the required fish and the Bait I used that got me the most HQ of the fish Required for the Leve.
To be able to utilize the LeveQuests below, you must first unlocked the ability to do LeveQuests in this zone, which will require a DoW/DoM at that level. However this does not mean that you cannot do these locations. You still get HQ fish at a pretty great rate for lots of XP.Waste money buying HQ fish would destroy the entire method attempting to MAKE money, the purpose of the thread. This guide works. It's truly nearly 30 hours of gameplay if costant fishing and fishing (and turning and turning). HQ fish may boost a bit , if lucky to find them.

Are people still actually talking about "generating" gil? Seriously?
OP is talking about making money for a house, guess what happens to all that "generated gil" once they buy the House?
No matter what method you're using to make money for a FC house you're not "helping" the economy. Regardless, the economy is retarded because of the amount of people that cant into economics and undercut and screw themselves, Oh also the fact that there's nothing worth buying in this game. The economy is inherently "broken" by design and square is okay with that as gauged by the housing prices.
This game doesn't need to "generate" gil. Please stop spreading this stupid economy doomsday theory thats been circulating since launch, nor was that relevant to OP.
I dont know about other people's servers but our servers Ah is getting better. People know the housing prices now and some just stopped saving or caring so they are spending again. The materia market is crazy good right now.
My FC does maps every day, we do any where from 8-12 maps depending on the people we have. The bank is very, very good. On average we get 1-2 maps worth 5.2k, the rest are 1600 gil. People need to remember to fill the party up, dont 6 or 7 man it even though you can, the gil distributed is a set amount, taking all 8 people is key. The mats we cant sell are being stocked in the FC chest for crafters. I really thought that getting a house would take forever, but for our small FC (24 raiders) we will have enough for a medium size house in about a month, and we only started out with 1.7 million (our final housing price is 17 million). I dont think waiting 2 months for a place is bad at all.
Maybe the thread isn't primarily intended for you. Like many things in life, you (general) are not the center of the world. It's just a generic topic about how to make some gil for something, like the mentioned FC housing.
Alternately, learn to 7 man extreme primals and merc. Wish my broadband connection was up to the task.
Sell magazine subscriptions door-to-door.
I hear there are openings for courtesans in Costa. You just have to like Littlefels.
I'm going to have to side with sylkis on this one.But it's not new generated gil. That's the point. Generated gil is new, unchangeable, and ADDS to the economy. Also doesn't depend on a buyer, and no undercutting. Also maps are likely to go for prices less than 12k soon (13.5k on my server, 2 days ago), meaning less than the amount of gil generated by it.
The fact is, currently you would "make" more gil selling the maps while their price is still above the total payout per map. The person buying the map will still generate the gil you aren't - maybe not as much, but in the end the gil is generated by the buyer and you still pocket more gil.
If we're talking raw numbers, sell the maps for more gil / less time invested. The added bonus is that if and when the price of maps drop below the total payout (which is insane) you can just go back to popping your own maps for "guaranteed" gil generated by the map rather than trying to sell on the market when it's flooded and prices have dropped.
On that note, if prices ever were to drop below the minimum payout per map, don't you think this wouldn't last more than a day seeing as you would theoretically profit from the map with a chance at getting a bluebird minion (actually worth 1mil on sarg)??

What other dungeons have drops for crafting housing items other than Stone Vigil and Am. I just know the Ishguard Steel and AK stone drops.
