Agree 100% and I wouldn't even consider myself a hardcore raider in the least. There just isn't enough challenging content right now.

When you min/max you characters and comps, watch all the strategy guides, and power play your way through content, this is what happens. I haven't seen past turn 2 of coil because I am not in a raiding guild and it's hard to put a team together for anything on my server it seems. Even if I were in a raiding guild, I wouldn't come in and play ten hours on Monday to down content ASAP to farm it. That's really a small percentage of the population's problem. There is plenty to do between leveling alts, playing the new content and PVP. It may not be perfect, but then again the game has been out less than five months.
Maybe they should release a new wave of primals. Call it Titan Impossible. That'd keep you busy for a few hours anyway.

your still grinding buddy. but this time they tell you how much you can do. if you have less time you just do less grinding just like the "hardcore games".
we already get .005% drop rates too, just because something drops 100% dont mean some people can even loot it might go right in the trash and its still a random drop.

Dark Souls has lasted me nearly 2000 hours, and there's barely any grinding in that game, sure you can grind getting +15 on everything- but the entire game can be beaten with starting weapons unupgraded, naked at Soul Level 1.
I don't think grinding is the answer, a few things Dark Souls did were tons of builds and secrets, you can spend hours upon hours just planning new builds around single pieces of weapons or gear, PvP (after you learn how to counter backstabs) was amazingly complex and diverse, and most of all thriving. & there are still secrets in that game to this day.
FFXIV in comparison, has little to no customizability, and things like PvP are broken, unfun, and un-inspired.
Don't get me wrong, I love the game it has tons of amazing ideas but never expands on them, and could be so much more.
I had to go into coil three whole times to get up to twintania... This has jack to do with moving as fast as possible. It's simple content that skilled players tore through without even trying very hard. If you were in a raiding guild and it took you ten hours on monday, people would laugh at the fact that you'd call yourselves a raiding guild.
