The conversation order (as far as the screenshots go) is 3, 2, 1, if anyone would care to read the conversation.
While the GM my husband talked to was polite, s/he was very ineffectual. This seems to be the standard response that we get anytime we talk to the representatives at SE. This is very discouraging especially since SE is such a well-known company in the gaming world and they should have the capability to reset one quest instead of resetting his entire character and making it so that he looses his 4 lvl 50's and possibly all his gear that he has acquired in the last 6 months.
sadly still no fix for my ongoing issue here just more run arounds and brush offs anyone who knows a better way to get their attention please let me know
I hate to say it, but it seems the reason they haven't done anything is they can't do anything. That sort of bug is probably not fixable without rerolling your character data back to an earlier time, and no doubt SE are aware of just how long it's been since you first identified it, meaning if they were to resort to this rollback, it would fix the issue but you would loose everything you've done since that point in time (other quest completion, items, levels/exp etc), something I'm sure you would not be very happy about to have happen. I really think there's no easy solution to this sadly.
I honestly don't see why they can't lock down the account, go into the database where the information on quest completion and such is stored, and just... flip the flag on that enables him to complete that leve again, or just wipe out the quest log and make him pick up both again. It seems like such a small thing and I get they don't want to have this advertised so that anyone can make a GM do this, but seriously saying "rollback or reroll" as the only two options doesn't sit right with me. :|
