Quick exit from dungeon?

I often die at the final boss. I respawn but it's over before I make it back into the fight. Is there an easier way to exit rather than just running all the way to the end?

User the short cut? Or just use the duty finder menu to leave. If the instance is over I.e.the final boss has been beaten, then it makes no matter how you exit.

It seems often that the "shortcut" still leaves a heck of a run to get to the end. I didn't know the DF had an exit option. That sounds like what I'm looking for. Thx

You can also exit out the entrance.

Also, never release/respawn while the healer is still alive. Or even a summoner. Eventually they can raise you during battle. On boss fights in dungeons the room is locked until the boss is dead or the party. So releasing you would never be able to get back in the fight anyway.

Bring up your duty finder (keybind is U by default) and just select leave.

Yup! I believe battle res is level 28, if I'm remembering correctly. So if your Healer is at least lvl. 28 wait for them to raise before respawning.

There are 3 ways to leave dungeons (not counting getting DCed). You can take the exit after the final boss, the exit/entrance right at the beginning if you died and you can also use the DF to leave.

The healer's always alive, but L24 is the highest I've unlocked so a combat rez is not possible.


I guess if there's no way to rejoin the fight, I'll just lay there and watch the show.

Also, if you are not sure about boss mechanics, watching the show can be beneficial. You can focus on watching and learning without having to play your character and maybe miss some things.
