Enhanced PvP

I've played every final fantasy since the release of ff1 on the originial nes and I have to say...

Wicked job Square!!!

This is the Final Fantasy I've always wanted to play. To team up with other black. white mages and warriors etc and do dungeons and take down massive bosses and summons. Plus the music destroy every other mmo in my opinion, because, well, FF music is one of the best! One thing that stands out for me for an FF game is that we can PvP. I had my first taste of this today and it is quite fun. Plus some of the new armors that I've seen really catch my eye so it makes it rewarding.

I was thinking though how this experience can be greatly improved. For me as a gamer I love to compete after I finish the stories and quests I want to take on the games players. Although the PvP system is nice I think if certain aspects were added it would become that much better!
-Create a leader board
-Create the ability to have 1 on 1 fights with ranks for people of the same level. (I love to compete 1 on 1 in PvP against my own class.)
-I read somewhere that you plan to make 8 on 8, I think this is wonderful as it will create huge teamwork oriented fights. so plus one for me. I even think you should have a free open world map exclusive for hosting server battles or free company battles. This would draw in a new crowd and would keep old timers coming back and lining your pockets full of Gil, I mean money
-Keep your own weapons in the PvP's and don't change that! I hate having random equipment thrown in my face to have to use after I spent forever to gain the looks and gear I always wanted. You already do a good job at this, don't change it. People want to fight with what they have worked for. Cont'd on next post

-Create prizes for the leaders of the leader boards, like unique weapon and armor skins, tons of gil, or a free monthly subscription for the number 1 ranked guy in each class or something, use your imaginations and get people into that arena or instance! Show them why square enix is the best way to go compared to other companies.
-Make sure you don't have too long stuns that can't be cured by another or countered. No one likes to be waiting for 30 seconds and twiddling their thumbs while the fight goes on only to wake up and go back to sleep for another 30. CC's shuld be shortened in pvp, its not pve!
-Add more maps to fight in with awesome Nobuo Uematsu music, maybe some remix's from older final fantasies to get our blood pumpin

I've been wishing that there was a little more to PvP as well.
I was hoping for more of a game like Brennar from FFXI, which was basically kind of football… You had to grab an item and drop it in the goal, but to open the goal you had to take down one of the other team's players.

Also, having to run a gauntlet like Crystal Tower but having the three teams race or compete somehow would be really fun.

What we have now is pretty much a beta of PvP. there is more planned and more coming. Keep the ideas flowing, the more input we give the more ideas they will have. I look forward to Frontlines and Battlegrounds. Capture the flag, king of the hill, and whatever else they come up with. the foundation is solid, now to await the expansion!
