Steps:
I acquired the 6 bomb fingers as detailed in the quest, went to the Gutted Campfire and tried to use the bomb fingers on it. Nothing whatsoever happened when clicking on the object. There were several other players there having the exact same problem. I tried soning and going back but this didn't solve it, I also abandoned the quest and started it again, this also didn't work.

There was a time in beta and close to launch, where if too many people were doing or tried to do these sorts of quests, it would do what it sounds like is happening to you. This lead to people forming lines, i'm so not kidding.

I have given up for now, one of the other players submitted a gm ticket so maybe it is best to just wait until later on.
