    I, personally, am completely fine with not being shown exact effects of stats. But then I was weaned for fourteen years on a game that's entire design philosophy was immersion so numbers were highly obscured, except where necessary to the interface. E.g. you could see your strength statistic and train it by spending points you earned by levelling up skills, but you couldn't see any numbers for things that you did with that strength or even know for sure that strength was being used in a given calculation. Even things like experience were obscured. You could see your percent to the next rank in a skill, but not how much experience was actually needed or how much you earned for doing things. Think of levelling Skyrim's skills for a similar concept.

    I can certainly understand why people want to see everything in this age of instant gratification, but I don't feel it is necessary.
