I agree so much. However, I finally found one thing chocobo companions can be used for: Treasure Hunts! I usually do the 8-person ones, with four friends and four companions.

It's still not worth it. You have to wait until you reach the destination to summon them. Then you have to withdraw them before you can go do another chest. Treasure chests as they are now are barely worth it on their own - you waste half of the 1692 gil you receive from just teleporting to a location and back. Using chocobos instead of just filling the party means you are spending gil instead of generating gil (that would go to a player).
Issues 4 and 5 of the OP's post are the two i have the biggest issue with. Although 5, with the music is my biggest complaint hands down. There should at least be a setting to turn off non-boss battle music so that you can enjoy the music in the dungeons (or out in the field for that matter.) The dungeon music is intense enough that its all you need. Other wise you're fighting non stop and its the same battle music across all of the high level dungeons.
I'd just like to say that the battle music is different on every region actually, if you listen carefully Gridania battle music has more flute while in Coerthas it's more gothic style lol
The core is the same but the instruments are different... I kinda like that but I do agree the game is lacking with music especially in dungeons... I mean, even on 1.0 we had a much larger variations in music I believe...
It's true, there are small variations. But you can only remix one song so many times before it gets stale, and unfortunately the theme isn't exactly as catchy or epic as say, FFXIII's battle theme. This game overall has incredible music that is underused because it continually defaults back to the same battle/dungeon/boss music. I mean, there's an awesome song with the Amal'jaa beast tribe that is only played when you are standing right next to them. Why not play that song while you are doing their daily quests? Why does the game just go silent as soon as you leave their area?
The new hard mode dungeons (and Coil 1 trash) are the way to do it - new themes that increase in intensity during combat.
Add one more thing that annoys the hell out of me.
Blacklist full - Constant gil spams
GUYS STOP SUPPORTING RMT! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
These are legitimate quality-of-life concerns that are worth a look at by the dev team.
I agree with most of them but the first few. I believe stats and mechanics should never, ever be disclosed by a game dev, and part of the fun is for players to figure it out. Even if it's not fun for some, I still don't think devs should tell us what the exact gains are from stats. The others, especially the chocobo and battle music ones are very valid concerns that I also share.
I support this message! Buyers and sellers should ALL be banned. And also about the % for block and such, i don't think it really matters to see a %. SE and %'s are not very good. Try mining or doing botany with 89% as your success rate.... You'll see what i mean! Heck, even 98% success rate and you'll notice plenty of misses. 11% miss rate has a higher probability than a 15% HQ rate... Go figure.
I agree, OP.
These are some of the worst, and add on the fact that we still cannot adjust the transparency of the chatbox. I'm going freaking blind trying to read my conversations. x.x
