New to the game some questions.

I started playing just after christmas and now I am at level 25 in pugilist. I like crafting so I am also doing all of those DoH as well.

When I try to farm for Aldgoat skin I don't seem to get any drops when using my pugilist class but when I switch to a lower level class the skin starts to drop, although at random times. Is this the way the game is designed so to stop high levels from collecting items to craft with ?

Now if I could be certain of aldgoat skin drops this wouldn't be that much of a problem why they didn't add skinning as a class or task to the game I am not sure. It would of made gathering skins for leather work to be far easier and make more sense.

Looking on the market is not the answer as well because on Lich server everything there is way to much money for a new player to buy the amounts required to work up the crafting skills. And once the Leves are finished and timed out all you are left with is grinding up on materials.

Drops are random, and as far as I'm aware not effected by class +/ level. I have gone farming for aldgoat skin many times as 50Pld and come away with a stack in roughly an hour. Best place I know it's just too the north east of camp drybone.

yeah drops r just random ive farmed skins with my 50 bard sometimes i got 200 skins in less then n hour... other times only like 100ish ;/

Thank you for the replies. I had to mash up my original post due to it being to long and I can only do one post a day. Who the hell designed these forums rules ? They are awful for a mmo.
