This. First day of 2.1, before there were videos out, I tried out Garuda ex, no one in the pt knew it except 1 guy. We all told him this when he joined, he said ok. We enter, dude says he's too lazy to explain the fight and goes in, then ragequits when we wiped >.> I seem to get that a lot lately, people who know the fights but don't feel like explaining it to others, because you know, it takes so much effort to quickly type it out -.-People need to stop expecting guaranteed wins through the Duty Finder just like they need to stop expecting speedruns through it.
Always assume you're going to have to explain the fight when you're in the Duty Finder, and don't be a jerk about having to do so either. Remember, you're helping someone who very well might end up helping others as well.
Pay it forward, as it were.
watching a video can help yes but at the same time watching a video and doing the dungeon/primals are two very different things, someone can watch a video all they want but it's not going to change the fact that they learn from experiencing it better then watching it. also these "Elitists" wannabees need to stop talking i've seen enough in my game where they just aren't as good as they say. for instance telling someone they aren't geared for titan hm and then always be the first to die on mechanics.
Sometimes I watch videos, Sometimes I don't. Watched a vid on Garuda HM and took us 4 attempts in a PUG to kill... None of the deaths were my fault, mainly healers dying. Didn't watch any videos on Titan HM, Won first time in a PUG. As long as you know how to dodge and use your brain a little you don't need to watch vids.
Yeah. Just because you don't have it doesn't mean it's not real. Also, you don't know if they affect people in only harder fights, because you do only the harder fights with them. I had lag in Sastasha. Isn't particularly hard.
People whose first answer to new content is Youtube or the nearest Wiki are a plague upon this game. They're the ones who are the first to leave a group after one or two wipes. If no one can be bothered to explain content to a new player in-game, then the 'synergy' of the group was never there to begin with. You'll see this a lot in Duty Finder, as everyone only joined in hopes of a win and nothing more.
first time i ever thought to use a meme for once o..o
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
u'll actually progress faster watching a vid and experiencing it rather than going in blind and reading a wall of text. Primal EM fights require u to defeat very specific mechanics that can be a pain to explain in text. cuz ur not gonna understand it until u see it.
but i guess it depends on the individual. if u just wanna test the instances, then go df it blind. if u like a real challenge, make a premade with no one who knows the fight and go in blind. but if u just wanna clear the content, watch a vid jump in pf or make a premade. saves u a lot of time. it depends on what u wanna do really. df'ing em primals is still iffy at the moment. lots of people are stuck in titan based on the instance reservation times
I wish people would stop watching Mr Happy and then deciding that his strat not only is best but the only one that can possibly work. So much fail in so many groups and its almost entirely because of bad people watching questionable videos.
