    Why did they changed this from version 1.0 ?

    There is something witch is bugging me a lot !

    I was in the beta tests from version 1.0 and correct me if im wrong but the worlds back then were bigger and there were not those loading screens!

    I remember well after the nice ship tutorial and exploration of the city you walk and walk out the city with no loading screen and you are all of a sudden outside and you see this huge world.
    In Limsa were this huge bridges and under them giant frogs and behind them caves with bandits, the world was so much bigger and i really liked how you go out of the city with no loading teleportation but you had to walk out of it!

    Also in Gridania you had to walk outside of the city true cave coridors, bridges and under the lamps was such a nice experience. And outside map looks the same but was so much different and bigger !

    One more thing why did they changed the nice entering cinematics of the cities ? I know i know different story people are saying but they were so nice, in Udah the nice festival or in Gridania the sweet forest clip with the moogles!

    And in last place the terrain texture of the game i find the one in version 1.0 so much better preattier!

    From what I can tell it was mostly because 1.0 didn't lend itself to using instances in the same way 2.0 does.

    In before ps3 limitations! I don't know though and I think the zones now are pointless and boring.

    Yes i have to agree the zones in 1.0-1.23 were just amazing and beautiful now they are just meh.... how you go from something so amazing to something more plain and expect people to like it when they have seem what the game was capable of is beyond me

    But what all this has to do with making the words smaller, with loading screen and with not so good terrain texture ?

    I also don't understand the decision to do zones instead of one continuous open world. A lot of people have said it's not a PS3 limitation, so I guess it isn't. I'm not a programmer. :3

    Zones in this game really feel small. I think maybe getting a mount at level 20 is one of the reasons. Also I don't teleport except to Return, and have made extensive use of the chocobo porter all through leveling and end-game. They still feel small...

    I wish some day FFXIV:ARR will get a remake and we get a continuous world instead. Maybe by 4.0? 5.0?

    Yes i really really liked how big the worlds were and it was such a nice feeling when you had to walk out of the city and not to be teleported from those loading screens now ! I really really miss it!

    Do you think if players wants this they will return it as it was in version 1.0 ?

    Its because of PS3 limitations they had to make the game run on ps3 and to do that they had to load it chock full of loading screens.

    I'm not particularly fond of the corridor-style copy-paste of 1.0 zones. What we need is an opening up of our current zones, eliminating unnecessary invisible walls and filling out the borders.

    Shhh you'll make the people who are somehow convinced this game can run well on an outdated machine come out and argue. Its the ram in the ps3 look at ps3s skyrim and all the problems it had.
