Can and Where do i get the chocobo looking gear?

They have teased that chocobo gear for awhile now, Artwork, Desktop background, 2.1 Trailer, and now for the heavensturn event.

I was disappointed you couldn't get it as a reward in the event (from what the article says) yet it almost makes it seem like you can with the picture being as it is.

Can you get it at all anywhere in the game?

they showed a teaser of it in the 2.1 trailer during the sylph beast dailies. It's possible it might come from there once you've unlocked enough reputation with them.

It was originally from a 1.0 event, but it wouldn't surprise me if they are going to make them available again.

hopefully it is in here somewhere, hopefully its useful and not cosmetic, getting a bit tired of all the cosmetic gear. Hopefully those cosmetic gear will be able to be used in vanity slots once they are introduced though

In 1.x you could get the chocobo helmet when completing a lot of chocobo escort missions (via achievement). Don't know how to get it in 2.x :/

The mask is level 35 (ilevel 40)

If you do the event you'll know exactly why there is a person wearing the chocobo gear in the picture.

Ah i see, im guessing the legacy players who had them still have them now, i guess they will be re introduced for non legacy/or legacy players who didnt get them, in a future patch.

I miss chocobo caravans. There aren't even any FATEs like them. And the seals earned you stuff that was actually good back then.

Actually if you haven't noticed, the chocoporter at every Camp has the mask since 2.0 launch.

You will probably be able to unlock it after one of the Reputation Quest (not dailies) from Sylph as per trailer.
