Charecter transfer, need help having issues

Ok, I have a character on Excalibur<leg> my wife is playing on another server I wanna take him off it, but there is no way to take a character from a legacy server to a normal server yet, even if its a character that's just made on there and isn't from 1.0 or anything? I mean he was made like a month ago, and isn't from 1.0 or anything just happens to be on a legacy server, and I cant transfer him off to another server that's non legacy? ...kinda odd also his name isn't highlightable in my service account either...like on the right my other charecters are in dark blue and u can click them, but him he isn clickable or anything just gryed out atm.... need some help here this is kinda annoying its also annoying to my wife who dosent wanna start over either.

yep currently impossible since your character is on legacy server.

The quickest and most painless method would be to have your wife transfer to your legacy server.

Although I hear transferring itself is kinda annoying cause in order to transfer a character SE locks your account and your can't play anymore, and it can take up to 2 weeks.

Yup, SE seems to think that after 3 months and with a 1m gil cap on xfers, Legacy players transferring to non-LEgacy servers will somehow unbalance the economy.

And no, don't talk about transferring 'high value' items, I play on one Legacy and one non-Legacy server and for most things AH prices are similar, in fact Legacy servers are cheaper for many things.
