Maybe for some, but for me the more repetitive the content the more prone I am to just flub it sometimes and have fun. I could really care less how 'efficiently' i farm philo/myth. Over the holidays I was off work for 12 days and capped after just 2 days. I still ran AK/WP with people just because I wanted to help out on my server.

I had a newly 50'd WHM in a group that filled a spot for my FC doing CBM hard. I told him that he can just follow along or we can explain everything to him. He was almost afraid to ask, so I just took the liberty of explaining it anyway. We wiped a few times, had some laughs, and went on our separate ways.

I have spent the full 90 minutes teaching people how to speed run WP before, and when we didn't get the 30 myth at the end, no big deal.

IMO the repetitive content gets the elitist tag when you get fed up with it, and IMO that is a product of omgweneedtodoeveryruninfiveminutes. not every cares about that.

    Love it!

I choose to ignore the rude and inpatient players and help the ones that deserve it. I've had limited contact with rude ppl thru my method of playing and enjoyed some nice conversations too.

I haven't seen the toxic community on Faerie. I do know the people who are the elites of Faerie Server. So, I avoid them even though I'm jealous of their weapons.

I wanted to chime in to say we are playing two very different games when it comes to player interactions.

Do I see ill-mannered individuals at times? Of course, but they are far and few, and it's been better since 2.1. I consider myself a dungeoneer, as I have run dungeons primarily for leveling DoW/DoM classes and surface to say I have played with players from all over the game. I've seen all types of attitudes and behaviors and many ranges of player skill levels. But in my opinion, the majority of the runs I have interacted with people that are friendly, helpful and overall pleasant to party with.

I do wish the server communities we closer together, and worked together more than just end game contents.

For them Brayflox is HARD ("you want me to Esuna all of you? move out of the way? and cure three people???), Sunken Temple is "ZOMG WTF was that", Cutter's Cry was "intense" and Titan "baby trial" was "fck this, I swear I ran and out of the train track from hell".

Agree wholeheartedly. You get the odd idiot that wants to votekick anyone new or not up to par with their personal standards or speed, but that's about it. And generally they leave and are quickly replaced anyway.

And out in openworld, I've been having a ball on Cerb. Some really nice, helpful people.

I know this, once elder scrolls online comes out you are gonna see a big dip in players on this game.

Here is one big reason that's killing it for me, FFXI was all about being geared, this game is becoming the same thing, You are after better gear that is your focus and less story line and quest to progress.

Then you have Titan Hard mode you cant win because people leave and when one person leaves they all leave, you have the AH in shambles, people are getting abusive with those kicks I have seen people kick someone for absolutely nothing. game is going down hill quick plus content is rinse - rewash fights and dungeons get repetitive.

I love to burst your bubble like this but, ESO is utter trash. That game is boring and slow and not that impressive.

Skyrim is slow, I love it.
FFXI was slow, I loved it.
Fallout is slow. . . Oblivion, Secret of Mana, Dragon Warriors/Quests, Suikoden, Zeldas... all slow; all loved -- and there are many more "slow" games.

And if you want to talk boring... ffxiv is boring. There isn't even individuality between one person's dragoon and another person's dragoon. Everyone is the same. I like ffxiv, but sometimes I picture the SE team viewing us all as ants with money.... the irony is that we're just like ants in the game; each the same as the next.
