how do i make mt drg god like

been in my fc as a 50 drg for a while now. I want to know how to make my drg hit with the hammer of god every single hit so I can go and things like coils. done most everything I can do and have a +1 relic. I haven't been offered to be taken into coils and such. so best in slot gear is off the table in most slots. given my current hand how can I make my drg hit with some "wrath of god" power? so I can go back to having fun in this game. any advice that is helpful would be great. I don't want to hear level brd or mnk.

Try reading up on the thread Dragoon:A rotation reborn. There is a LOT of good info in that thread. It's generally on the 1st or 2nd page of the dps forums.

If you know your rotation, how to move your character, have low latency, and eventually can learn to dodge mechanics and avoid taking unnecissary damage, then you will shine. As for getting your FC to take you along, thats up to you to prove to them that you are worth taking. You can help by joining some pugs so you can learn fights and even down some bosses for your gear upgrades. Then you can add "experienced" to your list of qualities and more parties should open up to you. Bottom line, if you feel like you have no more room for growth both as a character and as a player, then you should join a new FC that will help you to grow.

I will never understand why people think a FC is required for them to run 8 man content, OP build yourself a static coil group with players that have equal experience & I garauntee you will enjoy every minute of it(since there's no pressure of screwing up a few times). The fights are not all hard as soon as everyone has the mechanics down you'll be finishing turn 1-4 like clockwork in just a few weeks. If that's too much for your plate suppose having experienced pugs carry you works too, so you at least understand each fight start to finish from your own point of view and not some youtube video. As for the drg thing, as someone said earlier, see drg thread. Simply put though, you will get a lot further just taking charge and getting things done yourself instead of waiting around expecting something, as far as getting things you want done.

Anyway, OP, I'd like to help (my main job is MNK, but I leveled DRG first during launch). My gear isn't BiS for DRG, no where close, but I can sustain over 310 - 330 DpS with what I have, with bursts of 400 DpS.

A typical opener for me would be something like... Heavy Thrust > Buffs > ID, Leg Sweep > Disembowel, Power Surge > Chaos Thrust, Jump (can crit for 1k+) > Phlebotomize > True Thrust > Vorpal Thrust, Life Surge > Full Thrust, you should refresh Heavy Thrust at this point, and you can DfD afterward I suppose.
