We have a thread for our horror stories, so why not have a feel good thread to counteract that!?

I had a great one last night. One of my FC mates needed HM Ifrit, so we queue'd up together, and got in quickly. I had a major brain fart at the start, and didn't explain the fight at all to my friend (it was her first time). She was the only one with an AOE LB, so you can guess where this is heading.

The group didn't even come close to downing all the nails. I suspect my friend wasn't the only new person. But somehow, I survived the post-nail blast, along with both tanks. Our monk promptly "d/c'd."

Since the LB wasn't used on the nails, I had a 3 bar LB ready and used it. Next set of plumes/eruptions killed all but myself and the two tanks again. Well the three of us dug deep, going about our business, waiting for the LB to fill again. I raised a few people, but they all quickly died again. Finally at 15% I used the LB again. Surprise surprise, they were all dead again within 1 minute. So I raised the BRD in the group (he seemed to have the most knowledge of the fight), and this time he was prepared. He pretty much solo dps'd the rest of the way along with the tanks.

it was the longest battle I'd ever taken part in, but it sure felt good at the end! And I got all the commendations, so that was just the icing on the cake.

What about you? I think all healers have heroic moments at some point, share yours here!
