However, in regards to the "turning speed", there are a couple of very different settings that dictate the behavior of the camera. Indeed, there is one that makes the camera and movement awkward, but the other provides the near-instantaneous turning speeds you're speaking of. And keybinds? I'm not sure which encounter is going to require me to have "dozens" of them at once, but they're all still there at your fingertips, just not displayed all at once. Personally, on my gamepad set-up, I have 2 "combat" crossbars, which at a capacity of 16 action slots per crossbar is more than enough for all my moves, and was streamlined even further with the addition of the expanded hold controls. The efficiency and speed with which they are activated has nohing to do with input, as that is an individual and personal preference, usually owing a great deal to the past gaming experience of the player. Of course PC gamers are going to think that the gamepad is inferior when they play with a gamepad, as many of them are simply accustomed to using kb/m. Personally, having extensively used both inputs, I also found the gamepad to be awkward when I first tried it. But, having played with the settings and assimilating myself to it, I now find it a more enjoyable and engaging experience than kb/m without any loss in performance. It's all a matter of comfortability with your preferred input.
