Since Primal Extreme runs can be brought or members carried, those accessories do not necessarily reflect their skills. You're right in saying that gear can make up for mistakes, but I don't see what this has to do with assessing their skill level; suitability and competence are not the same thing.

Titan is Titan. We have members that can't pass heart phase and we have members that will never live through the entire run. But they can do ultima, coil, garuda ex, etc, etc, etc just fine.

Titan is not an indicator of skill, wealth, or any sort of status. It is just one of the many encounters. It is rough. We have to "carry" members through titan all the time, and even the best of us, sometimes go splat, if not as consistently as others.

Stop using Titan trials as any kind of measuring bar of FF14.

I find Garuda EX harder then Titan HM. There is a lot more teamwork then Titan. Titan is indivual power, while Garuda is team work. Garuda EX is not a tank battle, Tanks lead the dance, but every member has just as much duty as tanks, with the least being healers(if everyone else does their job).

Garuda EX is much like turn 4, where everyone has to be in position, focus-fire, and not do unnecessary things. Kill spiny, wipe, die at the start of tornado phase, wipe, Can't kill sisters in time wipe, can't kill surpana, wipe, take hate too soon?, wipe, can't, aoe plumes right? wipe. Miss wicked wheel? wipe.

Garuda is much more complex then Titan HM. Anyone who calls garuda EX easy is getting carried just as much as titan HM. Garuda is less twitchy and one shotting, but just as much wiping if any member is derping (suprana/garuda bug disappearing doesn't help)

Yet what makes titan HM so different? After heart phase you can do it with 4-5 members, no where near garuda level. The difference is twitch mechanics. It's that and only that.

Titan is just a fight, nothing more nothing less.

Stop complaining about people selling runs and people being bad in your group. Make your own group, kick the baddies...proceed to win. Took me two hours to clear. Titan EM. Kick people who got carried...problem solved.

Or take the time to teach them and if they still suck explain to them why they are being replaced. Thats what we do...if you can't get it on the 5th try from a dps standpoint then you will be replaced. Simple as that. We DF it with 5 people now and its kind of a joke.

It's not that easy for everyone. I've been trying to clear Titan HM for almost a month now. Trying to find a competent group is practically impossible. Not all of us can be so lucky as you.

I get jealous of my wife, she killed titan on like the 3rd try for each of her 2 relics, where I went like 40 for my 1st and 20 for my subsequent 2. =P

The post heart EX-bombs with the egi drops and the multi-way landslide are different enough. I can't fault folks if they get panicked and eat a bomb or a landslide at that point.

I also had my own opinion about Primal buyers, but had to see it for myself. I've fought alongside a good chunk of them and they were quite impressive. My confusion, I guess, is that there are so many primal buyers out there, skilled, diverse enough in their roles and on at the same time, that if they formed groups, they could clear the content and collectively save millions of gil.

Some people, while skilled, just aren't leaders. It's not a bad thing, either.
