I would love this, especially for things like primal fights (Where I may want to farm it) or guildhests (Where I might want to go from one to the next with the same folks)

I didn't know this was possible as ARR is my first MMO. If SE could implement something like this, I would probably sub for life. My biggest problem right now is finding other competent players who can do the hardest contents. I hate waiting a long time spamming LS and FC for a premade group. The number of elite players is very low. Being able to group up with other people from other servers would help players in low pop servers. I had cleared titan ex 3 times and 2 of those clears were with df group that decided to requeue together using some "tricks".Cross server IDs are awesome in wow. I had a long list of great players on my wow friends list that where only there for instance farming. None of us ever talked we just worked well in the instances and could get them done quickly so we did them together.
And I agree sometimes it would be nice to requeue with the randoms I run into and also queue with at least one other person in roulette.
I was in a CT this week where most of the people in the 3 groups would have queued together if we had the choice. Full clear in just over 30 minutes and the only alliance chatting going on was tanks calling out their positions on behemoth. It was quick, stress free and really showed how fun CT could actually be if we could queue with people that where not trolling/dumb.
It is possible, and a feature I've been missing from the first time I ran Sastasha.
I don't know about WoW, but GW2 lets you add people from other servers on Friend List, send and receive mail from them, and even /tell them.
You can even temporarily switch server to go and play with friends you want to visit there, without leaving your guilds or anything on your own server.
I very much doubt that we will see this happening here anytime soon, though.
While it's something that I believe FFXIV would benefit a lot from (it's seperating way too much teams, friends, people in general in my opinion; you can't even stay in team to do quests, where GW2 actually lets you invite your temmates into your quests, and even rewards them for helping you out), it's absence isn't gamebreaking or anything.
But we're digressing from the initial topic.
A "let's re-run this instance" option would indeed be nice, and I don't think it's as unrealistic as the above-mentionned features.
I do believe there might be one drawback with this, though, and it's the instance queues.
While you're running a dungeon, it's my understanding that you are "taking a slot" on the servers or something like that.
Maybe let the team run the instance again without breaking, but would put them back in the queue would work, though?

I sometimes run low level dungeons for kicks and do get asked if I want to re-queue for something else, only for me to explain to the lowbies that Duty Finder doesn't work that way. Shame too because some of the people I run into know how to play and are nice people to be around. That alone should justify allowing duty finder parties to requeue up for dungeons if they choose to.I don't know about WoW, but GW2 lets you add people from other servers on Friend List, send and receive mail from them, and even /tell them.

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Bump because this thread deserves more attention than the dumb gloom and doom threads currently plagueing the first page.

Agree! Really have enjoyed some runs and stayed behind chatting with some players afterwards.
Let us have cross-server friend support that allows us to group up with friends on other servers please and thank you!
I used to play a game where, if you befriended someone on a different server and wanted to visit them, it would just ask you if you wanted to switch servers to teleport. I don't know much about MMO's so I'm not sure why that can't be done with this game, but I wish it could.
let ppl blacklist xserver too![]()
of your datacenter. No, you're not gonna meet people accross the globe more than what your group allows.
Ye, i lost the count of how many amazing nice guys i met i dreamt to group for more runs, and i never met them again
Nice idea, but then allow us to blacklist too to be sure we don't meet junk human being anymore
