Parry: Damage mitigation is influenced by Strength.
Rate of parry is influenced by Dexterity and Parry.

Again when we see Parry 23% it is rounded exactly like shield block %.

Again I will say I could be wrong on what is being displayed being mitigation and not our Parry %.

    edit:
I am now thinking I am wrong on what is being displayed is Mitigation and not our parry %. Reason I am now starting to think maybe I screwed up is when you change your STR (But it might have been DEX from a Gryph Ring) it effects that % you see on your screen...... But I can't test this atm due to being at work.

Yes, it is indeed the amount of damage you parried, not the parry rate being displayed whenever you actually parry an attack.

The amount you parry for is tiered by STR, and is displayed.
Your chance to parry is not displayed and is affected by parry/dex.

There are no tiers, you just see a rounded figure. Prove me wrong.

Get the Myth helm for sole reason that Allagan helm drops from T5. Unless you have a group that you know can reliable clear T5, get the Myth helm eventually for sure. Any minor differences in 2ndary stats is far from making or breaking you, but the differences in STR/VIT/DEF? from upgrading to ilv 90 can make a difference. If you have a reliable T5 group and only want "tanking" stats, then you can ignore the Myth helm. T1-4 can be fairly easily farm with PF groups, T5 generally cannot.

I'm not sure why people don't recommend myth boots but I think these should not be over looked due to the fact that it has accuracy. I recommend getting i80 pants from ct to pair with these boots. After that I would wait for allagan body to drop and then go for i80 helm from ct since it has parry.

I think you should not ignore how AF2 head gives you the awesome use of /visor, that's enough to make its cost worth it.

Full disclosure, this is a fashion disaster.

Main reason I think is because most people will now use Dual Haken (Ex Primal Weapons +37 Acc, +26 Parry) instead of Bravura Zenith (Skill Speed +26, +37 Parry). Dual Haken provide alot of accuracy at the cost of only 11 Parry, Skill speed is pretty useless. In the end you actually have the about the same amount parry if you use Dual Haken (as opposed to Bravura Zenith), since you don't have to slot for accuracy items in your other slots to hit cap.

My BiS list with Dual Haken Pre T-5

*Allagan Pants vs Myth Pants are debatable but with the change to Inner Beast, I prefer Determination over Crit.

If i were to use the Bravura, would switch the Allagan Boots for the Myth Boots and Myth Bracelets for Allagan Bracelets. But I would gladly trade the 26 Skill Speed of the Bravura for 11 Determination and 11 Crit from the Boots and Bracelets instead.
