T4'ing people (An apology)

If duty finder can ask me if I'm ready to enter an instance, why the hell can't there be a 'yes, turn 4 is good and I a ready to enter button'
Major stupid shit SE, I don't bash much, but try and rub 2 brain cells together here. If you're gonna lock people into content for a full week, at least give them the option to agree to it before people lock themselves down.

I wasn't in the situation, and I'm not the OP... so I don't know if she is being real or not. I'll take it at face value and assume she is being sincere.

The nail in the coffin for your situation was asking for party lead. >_<;; Of course the people who passed you lead probably assumed you were trolling them (at first). You'd be surprised how often people specifically form a 'Turn 1' group just to pull people into a higher Turn (such as 5) and laugh at them. There was a thread a few weeks back about this very occurrence... someone had joined a Turn 1 group and was pulled into Turn 5 against their will. The other people in the group just laughed and there was nothing that person could do... they were stuck for that week.

SE needs to get this crap fixed! Why cant they add a instanced window when the party leader goes in?

There should be a way to avoid these situations. Maybe requiring everybody to be in exactly the same turn that the leader is, otherwise it should not let the party enter, that way avoiding any kind of locking out people, accidental or not.

No they can leave it as is and just add a confirmation window when the party leader enters. I only need gear from T1/T4/T5 don't want to have to do T2/T3 if I can avoid them (unless I need the 50 Myth).

not really. in the op they stated they were on snakes. if the party leader hasn't made it there it's common to ask who is already there to promote them to skip ads.

Prior to joining your group, I joined another group which had its settings on Coil Turn 1 with the comment "T4". I assumed it meant Turn 1-4 and went in with them. To my shock, the group had entered T4 and were questioning my reaction. I didn't want this and left immediately. Unaware that I was now locked to t4, I joined the 5pm group and asked to take leader since I was at Cadeuceus before the whole fiasco. Blindly clicking away, not noticing that the option said turn 4, I ended up taking the whole group to turn 4 and proceeded to unintentionally lock everyone to turn 4.

Not only are you a troll but you think we are all stupid.

You say you asked for lead in the last group because you were on cadeuceus, but you didn't ask for lead in the first group when you thought it was for Turns 1-4, and that is where you got Turn 4 locked. I hope you get banned.

I don't believe them either tbh, but that's not for us to decide.

This here is pretty clear indicator that they knew progress in coil is saved:

Saying "Unaware that I was now locked to t4" while knowing that progress is saved in coil is not believable.
