Question about vanity. Is it going to be for JSE (Job Specific Equipment) gear only? Like will I be able to wear healer legs on MNK?

Last I heard, that was going to be the case (JSE), which is really unfair to the DoM classes.

The only game I've played that had a vanity system was GW2, and you were limited to using skins from armor your class could wear. I had assumed that was the norm (could be totally wrong here..), so I'm not shocked/disappointed that SE seems to be taking that route as well. We have slim pickings for now, but fingers crossed they bring out new armor/skins for us to use for vanity.

GW2 works because every armour is classified as light, medium, or heavy, and unless things have changed since I stopped playing, there are no light armours that look like heavy or vice-versa (and all mediums were trenchcoats). Many of the cloth armours here can be worn by all classes, but most of the DoW armours are strictly DoW. I'd be perfectly fine with it if it wasn't for this discrepancy.

In my mind SE was going to implement a GW2 style where mages could have all the magey gear at their finger tips etc. However, rereading your comment, if it truly is going to be JSE for vanity, that is a bit disappointing. ._. I want to go back to my ignorant mindset of a few minutes ago. lol..

There's not really a "norm", but there are definitely better systems - specifically, the wardrobe systems of LotRO/Rift and the system in CoH.
