    Switch between passive and active modes while moving.

    First of all. This is awesome. I'm curious to find out whether there is a plan to implement an animation to go along with it. Will there be?

    In the letter XI video, the GLD does it. However rather than drawing his sword while moving it's more like switching between passive and active modes while sliding (And not in a cool way)
    New animations are due for 1.9. Is this when we'll see an update on that as well?

    Personally I don't care too much either way. Just would like to bring it to attention.
    Lets do it SE! Couldn't really take that long to implement could it? The animations are already there.

    That would mean that they have to decouple the upper torso animation from the lower torso animation. Right now, all the animations are motion captured, so what they did is mo-cap a guy drawing a weapon and putting it away while standing still. They didn't mo-cap a guy doing it while running, so that's why it looks like what it looks like.

    I'm not sure if making the running legs animation separate from the weapon drawing animation is gonna be that easy.

    This is indeed going to be a nice improvement. I can totally live with 'sliding' for some time when taking the weapon out, waiting for them to fix it.
    I like that even better than the auto-attack in itself
