Is it beneficial to seek STR/DEX/Resist on DoL?

I just recently hit 50 on both my Miner and Botanist and during my leveling experience I encountered nodes that provided better yield/more attempts if I had met a STR/DEX or Resistance quota, and most of the time if I just leveled up a bit more I'd reach those requirements.
Given Level 50 base stats / HQ DoL AF, are there any nodes out there where maybe going for 1 or 2 STR/DEX boost might show me any bit of a benefit?

This, and that is all it is beneficial for.
But unless you want to go gung-ho on the unspoiled nodes and overmeld on CP/Gathering and Perception on your gear you should have plenty of space to meld a stat somewhere if you notice you are lacking it on some nodes.

While I don't fully understand the materia/melding system...from what I heard major stats such as gathering/perception and whatnot are close to capped for gear...you can only really play around with secondary stats.

If this is true, as you say for those "bonus" at node you need to bump up you secondary stats such as STR,INT,MIND and whatnot.

The gathering attempt+1 is the only reason to meld attributes. As a Lalafell, I need a STR III to get that bonus on 50 miner at north thanalan. No attribute boost is needed for me on botanist. The attributes give no other bonus.

The elemental resist is situationally useful at the lower levels, but useless at 50.

The only melds you need on a full set of HQ gear depend on how you want to handle the unspoiled nodes.

I personally go for 600 GP, no gathering/perception melds. With this you can use the success rate +15% (100GP) and the blessed harvest II/king's yield II (500GP) to get 5x 100% success hits of 5-7 items. This gets me 25 NQ darksteeel/gold/crawler coons per node, and can be done with 3x GP+1 materia and 12x GP+2 materia, no overmelding necessary.
