no quest from gerolt

I finally got to lvl 50 and decided to do relic quest. Gave gerolt the promise of payment and that was all that happened. He did not give me a quest!!!

Went back to nedrick and the only thing he has is the hest of the best quest. Which I also don't know how to do in duty quest. He has nothing pertaining to the first quest though.

did you complete Aurum Vale? did u get all 50 job quest?

Completed all of main story! Other then gerolt not replying with another quest after taking my item I have bowl of embers still locked n not able to access. Even though it said it was unlocked when I attuned to archetype. Says requirements not met. Avg. Item level 49. There is also no items in my inventory.

'Hest of the Best' comes from an NPC in Revenant's Toll. Nedrick is a different NPC in Vesper Bay near Horizon. He gives you the initial part of the quest.

You do also have to have all of your Job quests (guild) completed up through 50.

Sidenote and unrelated to relic, in order to complete Hest of the Best you need to complete Guildhests on the DF until you unlock the one required for the quest.
