I hear DL gear make excellent paperweights. True story.
Please look forward to it.

I plan to keep mine in case they made a way to turn them in for something useful later on like other tomes, gc seals, or something... I put so many hours into getting them that it just seems wrong to discard.
I'm holding onto it mainly because a) they may release a new class that uses the same gear (I play a Bard), and b) they're looking to make Darklight dye-able so there will be fun cosmetic possibilities once that and vanity looks come about ... assuming they're doing something along the lines of WoW's transmogrification or a myriad of other MMO's 'equip the item to a specific vanity slot to have that area look like that item.'
I'm with you guys, I'll store it for future jobs. Unfortunately my darklight gear is job specific (LNC/DRG), so here's to hoping a ninja can wear it.
I'll be keeping my BRD DL gear hoping that when Musketeer is added it will be able to use it as well.
A trade in system would be great, reduced philo tomes or something like that.
Why are everyone saying saving it for future jobs wouldn't new jobs be level 50 and be able to equip ilevel 90 gear unless they release new classes with the jobs.
I threw mine away that was class specific. I don't particularly like the models for most of it and Philo is so easy to get now that if I need it for a new job in the future I'll just buy it again. Hopefully I'll have enough CT or Allagan gear by that point though that it'll share with any new jobs.
I'm a collector, yet I discard my used darklight pieces. Reason is simple, I don't have space for it, they don't look that good and they are too common. I'd rather save a rare green than a common darklight.
