That feeling when I first went to see starting zones; "This is where it starts!". Too bad it ended where it started.

Yep. I bought CE the minute the store opened. Uldah was so crowded, everyone's number one complaint at that time was that you couldn't even find a mob to kill; it's true, it was that packed.

I'll admit that one problem was that I did not understand the game, and apparently had very little patience to understand it, because I uninstalled it after 2 weeks. I'll admit, I was way too indoctrinated into the traditional mmo, where it spoon feeds you quests and gear, and has the same basic menu design.

8 months later, after seeing the new staff activly making changes, and word of a big patch coming up, I started playing again. This time ready for a change in my gaming experience, and apparently a lot more patience, because I now find the game charming.

I remember being sooo excited about my Character that i spent an two hours making it, but then i logged in Gridania and realized that I was alone D: But as i made my trek around to Uldah, i picked up a fellow hitchhicker and we both ran to LL. Wish Girdania was a little more populated its so nice there...and not dry and barren like Uldah.

I remember being cheated of my Onion Helm, because I had installed the beta before the retail. I remember a few other people had this happen to them, and just rage quit right there.

Yeah, i first logged in with the open beta. Ran around thinking "Man, this is alright for a beta, but pretty rough but i can't wait to see the launch version!"..

Then i bought the collectors edition.. and it was the same thing. Huge letdown woohoo

It still wasn't as memorable as my first time playing XI, but then again XI was my first MMO.

I remember it well. I logged in and then logged out to fiddle with my settings. Then I logged in to check it and then logged out to change a few things. I logged back in to see the difference then logged out to tweak a few things. Then I logged back in ETC ETC.
