Also, if you're in Gridania, take the ferry to East Shroud and head straight to the Bramble Patch. It's quick to get there. The level 50 BTN nodes there give Piestskin, Boarskin and Toadskin maps. The easiest location to get to for maps on Botanist is just outside of Limsa. Go out the Zephyr Gate to Middle La Noscea, and there's a level 50 logging area a short trip NW just past the first bridge.
If you've only got Miner, there are level 50 quarrying nodes just north of Swiftperch (east of Aleport) in Western La Noscea. In fact, I just got a Peisteskin map confirming the location.

I wish I leveled my Miner more now...this sucks!

Out of curiousity, what are the rewards from treasure hunting? Really need to get my miner/botanist boing again. Sigh....so much to do in the game.

Always gil, around 1500-ish, shards, tomes, and random loot. Usually mats, sometimes HQ ones that sell well on the market. For tomes I've received anywhere from 3 to 30.
Yeah. I'm so glad I grinded BTN to 50 before the patch. I've made a good chunk of money from treasure hunts.
These are the problems you want to have. ^_^
On a rare occasion you'll get over 5k.

I should have stated that it is a happy sigh, not a weary sigh, lol. Have my adventuring, crafting, fishing. So much to do still. And lovin' it.
Thanks for the info on rewards. Need to get cracking and gather me some of these maps!

Yes, you can have as many maps as you have inventory space. The restriction that others have mentioned incorrectly only applies to maps that have been deciphered - once the Timeworn Peisteskin Map gets taken out of your general inventory and moved into the Quest Item tab. I've never had more than two on me at the same time because I clear them out regularly with my FC, but it is fun to track down 7+ maps in a row. Most of us have at least one gathering class at 50.
