I've touched on this subject many times, but the traveling and sense of danger is a joke in FF14. Why can I mount through all the beastman camps and not even come to close to dying? It is because the mobs are on a leash and run back to their original spot. Plus, all of them hit like girls at lvl 50. It is one of the reasons why people want FFXI 2.0. And, the beastman are a joke in ARR. You wouldn't get that far without sneak/invis in FFXI's beastman zones, and those zones are freaking HUGE, scary, and open world.
