Ya problem is he didn't know of the glitch until it happened and then he saw a thread about it on reddit afterwards. So he technically had no reason not to.

If their is a glitch in the game which there was then he shouldn't have been forced to use his one time restore. If he had proof which he did then SE should have asked for it and took the right actions, But telling someone they have to wait 2 more weeks to get 900 more Myth isn't fair.
Exactly. He had a screenshot of the whole thing (I saw it) He didn't even need the hat he ended up buying from the glitch. How is that right? (As a note, too this was before the myth cap raise so it was even longer.)

And ya as others mentioned this has become a well-known glitch. His incident isn't even some random isolated one. This means tons of people either had to have wasted myth or use up their one-time restore on something that amounts to SE's fault to begin with.
