1 item restore per account needs to go

If you expect people to play this game for several years, your policy on "1 item restore only" needs to go.

People make mistakes, we are human after all... having item restoration only available once for your entire account and years that you plan to play is stupid and needs to be changed.

Other MMO's have item restoration with reasonable restrictions, once a lifetime is not reasonable and you will have some very pissed off customers in the years to come.

I used to play the system in Aion with that, get a bad stone while disenchanting, claim you did it on accident/while drunk, try again after they refund. I made upwards of 150mil kinah in this way, gambling on eternal grade gear right after eternal was introduced.

I can see why they want to limit it strictly, but you're right that 1 per lifetime is way too restrictive. 3 chances seems fair here.

I don't think it needs to go. It stops people from abusing this feature. Yes people make mistakes but rarely this mistake is worth an item restoration. Bought the wrong myth piece or somehow deleted an i90 gear? It's not the end of the world, you can still get another. Only the MOST severe mistake should use this as a last resort option.

I don't know if it should go, but at the same time they are too strict on it.

My friend went to buy the three items for the relic +1 and there was a glitch because he selected it too fast and ended up getting the item, then the whm hat, then the item again in like less than a second. (he showed me the SS with time stamp). This wasn't his error because it means he would have had to tab to the item, then have it reset, and somehow tab it back to the item again (which he didn't).

According to reddit at the time this was a known glitch (not sure if fixed now).

They forced him to use his one-time restore to get his myth points back. Which imo, isn't right at all since this wasn't a player error.


As an aside, I think it would be nice if they allowed the buy back to last a little longer instead of wiping it as soon as you exist out of the buy/sell screen.

As well, I wouldn't say no to things like giving you 5 minutes to refund your tomes after purchasing something in case you bought the wrong thing on accident.

That's a waste and not the players entire fault, He should have taken more time. If their is a glitch in the game which there was then he shouldn't have been forced to use his one time restore. If he had proof which he did then SE should have asked for it and took the right actions, But telling someone they have to wait 2 more weeks to get 900 more Myth isn't fair.


As for the OP he still never said why he needed to have one time restore more than once? When you throw away rare gear not only does it pop a menu, but you have to click the confirm box in it to toss the gear....... Guess someone used their Fantasia and doesn't like being a male.

Exactly. He had a screenshot of the whole thing (I saw it) He didn't even need the hat he ended up buying from the glitch. How is that right? (As a note, too this was before the myth cap raise so it was even longer.)

And ya as others mentioned this has become a well-known glitch. His incident isn't even some random isolated one. This means tons of people either had to have wasted myth or use up their one-time restore on something that amounts to SE's fault to begin with.

You can't make all the mistakes people made before you. Learn from others and don't do them again.

It should not go. If you are in to much of a rush to actually stop and read what you are clicking on TWICE then you deserve what you get. Being drunk, high, watching tv, in a rush etc not an excuse.

If there is a server error as Allyra said then yeah they should be more lenient.
